At the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters, combat corps commanders, weapons manufacturers, and government officials discussed the front’s needs, as well as supplies and procurement for the troops, face-to-face for the first time.
Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Today, following several days of discussions with the commanders of our corps, who are carrying out the most critical combat missions, I held a special meeting at the Headquarters. For the first time, there was direct, face-to-face communication between our major weapons and equipment manufacturers and the corps commanders who actually use the products, as well as with Ukraine’s Ministries of Defense and Finance and our country’s main special services,” the head of state said.
According to him, the meeting at the General Staff was attended by the commander of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the commanders of the 10th, 11th, and 19th Army Corps, “Khartiya,” “Azov,” and representatives of “the rising stars of the new Ukrainian defense sector.”
Zelensky noted that most of the issues discussed were practical—concerning actual combat needs, bottlenecks in supply, unresolved procurement issues, necessary additional funding, and supply contracts: drones of all types and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), long-range artillery shells—which are needed in virtually every area of intense combat operations—and other equipment.
