How African tech founders are building systems that last

“If you look around this room,” a man dressed in monochrome and standing at a podium said, “You will see…builders, ambitious companies operating and solving complex problems.” These were the words of Adeniyi Oloopo, Head of Vendor Partnerships, Project Management, for Termii Webtech Inc. Behind him stretched a green and black backdrop with the tag, ‘The Globallink. Powering the Next Billion Conversations.’

On Saturday, July 11, 2026, Termii gathered key ecosystem builders in one room to discuss how to build African infrastructure. Termii Elevate 5.0 brought together Africa’s leading technology infrastructure builders, regulators, and innovators for a focused, high-impact experience.

This year, the event went beyond serving as a working platform for the ecosystem and focused on building trustworthy infrastructure needed to power the next billion conversations across the continent—from panels lined with founders who have built and scaled across Africa, to operators who understand the reality of building effective systems, and investors who know what it takes to build sustainable businesses.

The first fireside chat, anchored by Muktar Oladunmade, the Senior reporter and vertical lead at TechCabal, kicked off a conversation with Kola Aina, the founding partner of Venture Platforms and Emmanuel Gbolade, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Termii.
