A storey building gutted by fire in Agbo Oba Area, Ilorin, Kwara state on Monday
The Kwara State Fire Service on Monday saved 14 rooms from destruction after a fire outbreak at Agbo Oba area in Ilorin West Local Government Area of the state.
The incident, which occurred at about 2.03pm, destroyed four of the 18 rooms in the storey building before firefighters brought the blaze under control.
The state fire service confirmed the incident in a statement issued by its Head of Media and Publicity, Hassan Adekunle, on Monday.
Adekunle said, “On Monday, 20th July 2026, at 14:03hrs, the Kwara State Fire Service responded to a fire outbreak at No. 40 Elesinla Compound, off Agbo-Oba Road, Ilorin West Local Government Area, Kwara State.
