PreciSense LiDAR is Roborock’s version of spinning-laser navigation on higher-end robots, turning the Q7 M5+ into a mapping robot rather than a random bumper. A sensor on top of the robot scans 360 degrees as it moves, building a detailed floor plan that appears in the Roborock app. Once mapped, the robot can clean specific rooms on demand or on a schedule. Multi-level mapping also saves up to four separate floor plans for houses with basements or upstairs bedrooms.

HyperForce Suction at 10,000 Pa is on the high end of the mid-tier category, enough to pull embedded pet hair out of carpet fibers. The Q7 M5+ automatically boosts suction when it detects a carpet transition from hard floors and drops back down on tile or hardwood to save battery. A dual anti-tangle system on the main roller and side brush resists long-hair wraps that would tangle a standard brush setup, making it useful for households with long-haired pets.
