Bahrain’s Civil Aviation Affairs announced that Iran targeted the country’s “civil air navigation systems,” though Bahraini aviation operations continue without disruption.

In a statement issued on Monday, July 20, the agency noted that civil air navigation systems operating within Bahrain’s Flight Information Region were targeted during an Iranian drone attack, but the strike failed to affect air navigation operations.

Bahraini aviation authorities confirmed that flights and air traffic across the country are proceeding normally. Since the onset of the latest round of US strikes against Iran, Bahrain has been a primary target of retaliatory strikes by the Islamic Republic, coming under repeated missile and drone attacks in recent days.
