UFC boss Dana White just bloodied the World Cup’s production team with severe criticism in an Instagram story.White had accused his own production team of reaching a new low last week when a graphic during a UFC broadcast mistakenly identified champion boxer Shakur Stevenson as Oklahoma Thunder guard Jalen Williams.But the mistakes he saw during the World Cup final convinced White otherwise.“What do you guys do?” White sarcastically asked the soccer tournament’s producers. “You triple down today and just go, ‘Fuck you Dana White, you’re not beating us! We’re the worst production team in the history of sports to ever show celebrities.’”He continued, “You guys win. You guys fucked up that flyover too! I’m not going to nitpick. I’m just giving you credit where credit is due. You guys absolutely fucking suck. We are the second worst.”Fox Sports, the English-language broadcaster of the World Cup for the U.S., was not specifically mentioned by White.But a gaffe in which Fox Sports announcer John Strong identified Matt Damon as Brad Pitt during Spain’s 1-0 victory over Argentina got the wrong kind of traction. White’s issue with the flyover may have been the reported out-of-sync timing between Jennifer Hudson’s singing of the national anthem and a seemingly late military flyover.“Cameras were trained on the sky for roughly 30 seconds, seemingly waiting for the aircraft to appear,” Consequence wrote. “When the jets finally arrived, as captured in an Instagram video by influencer Gabby Gonzalez, they flew well off to the side of the stadium and appeared to go unnoticed by much of the crowd.”
