Private sector bank Karur Vysya Bank on Monday reported its highest level of quarterly profit at ₹756 crore for the quarter ended June 2026 (Q1FY27) up 45 per cent on a YoY basis.Profits were driven by a 32 per cent growth in net interest income to ₹1,423 crore against ₹1,080 crore for corresponding quarter of previous year. Net interest margin stands at 4.3 per cent as compared to 3.9 per cent for the same quarter last year.Total business upThe bank’s total business reached ₹2,27,267 crore with an overall business increase of 16 per cent on a YoY basis. Advances crossed ₹1 lakh crore during the current quarter and stood at ₹1,04,680 crore, representing a 17 per cent YoY growth. Deposits increased to ₹1,22,587 crore as of June 2026 compared to ₹1,06,650 crore as of June 2025.On the lending side, corporate credit grew at 12 per cent YoY and stood at ₹14,356 crore as of June 2026. Bulk of the private bank’s advances are in RAM (Retail, Agri and MSME) and this grew by 18 per cent YoY and stood at ₹90,324 crore as of June 2026. Within this, retail jewel loans saw a 47 per cent growth YoY and stood at ₹6,252 crore as of Q1FY27. Interestingly, vehicle loans saw a dip of 21 per cent YoY.Asset quality of the Karur-headquartered private lender saw a decline on a gross basis and was flat on a net basis.Gross non-performing assets (GNPA) increased by 8 bps YoY and stood at 0.74 per cent of gross advances as of June 30, 2026. Net non-performing assets (NNPA) is below 1 per cent and stood at 0.19 per cent of net advances in Q1FY27, same as the position last year.“We are pleased to report that our performance indicators align with our previously issued guidance.
