Accra, Ghana – 9 July 2026

Senior executives from banks, fintech companies, payment providers, blockchain infrastructure firms, regulators and public sector institutions gathered in Accra on 9 July 2026 for the inaugural Accra Stablecoin Conference (ASC 2026), held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City.

Powered by Bitnob and Tether, the conference brought together senior decision-makers from regulators, financial institutions, fintechs, payment providers and blockchain infrastructure companies from across Africa and beyond to examine the practical adoption and commercial impact of stablecoins within Africa’s evolving financial ecosystem.

Bitnob, a digital asset infrastructure company, continues to build payment solutions that leverage Bitcoin and stablecoins to improve cross-border financial services across Africa. Tether, issuer of USDT, the world’s largest stablecoin, continues to play a central role in the global stablecoin ecosystem, supporting digital dollar liquidity while working with more than 310 law enforcement agencies across 64 countries, assisting in over 2,000 investigations, and freezing more than US$4 billion linked to illicit activity.

Held under the theme “Borderless Money: How Stablecoins Are Rewriting Payments,” the conference examined how stablecoins are evolving from a niche blockchain innovation into an increasingly important layer of global payment infrastructure.
