Reports regarding the alleged dismissal of General Oleksandr Syrskyi from his post as commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are untrue.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff made this statement.
“Reports circulating in the media, particularly on social media and in some news outlets, regarding the alleged dismissal of General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are untrue,” the statement reads.
General Syrskyi continues to perform his duties as commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the General Staff stated.
Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Andrii Hnatov, also continues to perform his duties, the General Staff reported.
