As the August 15 governorship election approaches, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, will commence distribution of Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, on Wednesday across the state.
A statement issued by the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Mrs Oluwatoyin Babalola, stated that the exercise is for persons who registered; applied for transfer of registration; requested replacement of lost and damaged PVCs; or updated their records during the recently concluded Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, exercise.
She added that the distribution exercise will begin at the 332 registration areas across the state from Wednesday, July 22, to Tuesday, July 28, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily, including weekends.
“The exercise will subsequently continue at INEC Local Government Area offices from Wednesday, July 29, to Friday, August 7, also from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily,” she added.
