“I should use Google AI Mode more” crossed my mind the other day. That thought compelled me to put it into action after I found out about the integration of 1st- and 3rd-party “Connected Apps” into that AI-powered Google Search feature.You have Connected Apps from Google itself, like Gmail and Google Photos. But there’s also a bunch of familiar apps that you can access directly from AI Mode, such as Canva and Instacart. It’s pretty cool being able to come up with design concepts for a party flyer by asking Canva inside AI Mode, plus that neat trick applies to being able to ask Instacart to help you come up with a shopping list for a kid’s birthday party.Since I’m such a big music head and am always on the lookout for new tunes worth keeping in my rotation, the latest addition of YouTube Music to Google AI Mode’s Connected Apps library got me pretty excited. Since you can directly prompt it to generate playlists that you can automatically add to your account, I wanted to try that feature out for myself to see if it could expose me to rising and emerging artists.It turns out this latest Google AI Mode app integration works better than expected and will most likely become my most reliable YouTube Music playlist builder.Using Google AI Mode to find new music much faster
