Element iQ is Breville’s term for an advanced heating system using five quartz heating elements in the oven. It dynamically controls the energy distribution among the elements based on their location and whether the convection fan is engaged. Two heating elements are on top of the oven, two on the bottom, and one is specifically dedicated to the convection fan, which allows for consistent heating throughout the oven. Based on the type of cooking being performed, such as baking cookies, broiling a steak, or air-frying chicken wings, Element iQ will automatically adjust which elements to use as well as their level of operation.
