The South African Music Awards have celebrated the country's biggest musical achievements since 1995, honouring the artists, albums and songs that have shaped the nation's soundtrack.

The South African Music Awards (Samas) are heading back to where many fans believe they belong.

The 32nd annual ceremony will take place at the Sun City Superbowl in North West on August 15, under the theme “The Future Sounds Like Now Now”.

Dubbed the “Homecoming Edition”, the awards return to Sun City after spending the past three years in Gauteng.

Since launching in 1995, the Samas have celebrated the artists, albums and songs that define the country's music scene.
