By releasing a video showing captured soldiers of the Separate Assault Regiment "Skelia," Russian propagandists are attempting to portray an isolated episode of fighting as evidence contradicting the overall outcome of the operation in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region.
The regiment stated this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
The regiment noted that it is aware of the information circulated by Russian sources regarding the capture of its servicemen. Work is currently underway to establish all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
At the same time, Skelia emphasized that it cannot disclose operational details of the fighting in the city.
"Russian propaganda is trying to present an isolated episode of combat as proof that the entire operation in Kostiantynivka has failed. This is manipulation. Fighting for the city is ongoing, and individual successes or losses by either side do not change the overall picture of the battle," the regiment said.
