The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned the Iranian Embassy’s chargé d’affaires in Amman to deliver a “strong protest note” regarding the Islamic Republic’s recent military strikes against the country.
Jordan’s official news agency reported on Sunday, July 19, that the foreign ministry also registered its formal protest against “provocative and escalatory statements” issued by official Iranian state institutions.
Concurrently, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned an Islamic Republic strike targeting a domestic power generation and water desalination plant, characterizing the operation as a direct assault on critical civilian infrastructure.
In an official statement, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry declared that the repeated targeting of civilian facilities constitutes a dangerous escalation that violates international law, the United Nations Charter, and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817.
The ministry further emphasized that Iran bears full legal and moral responsibility for the attack and its subsequent consequences.
