No fewer than 300 households displaced by crises in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State on Sunday received relief materials from the National Emergency Management Agency, in collaboration with the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency.

The beneficiaries were drawn from Chanchangi, Yamma, Kufai Amadu, Mamie Market, Rubar and Sufa communities.

Speaking during the distribution exercise, Mr Malut Hussain, the representative of the Director-General of NEMA, Mrs Zubaida Umar, expressed sympathy to the affected families and reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting victims of disasters and conflicts across the country.

He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the relief materials while embracing peaceful coexistence to prevent a recurrence of violence.
