Trump had been angling to win the Nobel, claiming that he deserved it.He had to settle for the prize given out by FIFA, with president Gianni Infantino personally handing the trophy and a certificate to Trump – who also received a medal, during the draw at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C."You definitely deserve the first FIFA peace prize for your action, for what you have obtained – in your way – but you obtained it in an incredible way," FIFA president Gianni Infantino told Trump at the ceremony."And you can always count, Mr. President, on my support, on the support of the entire football community, or soccer community to help you make peace and make the world prosper."Days later, an international human rights group filed a complaint with the FIFA ethics committee to look into Infantino, accusing him of a possible breach of political neutrality.FairSquare, based in London, which says its company promotes "systemic change and stops human rights abuses," filed an eight-page complaint over the award, which was met with swift condemnation from all over the world."The award of a prize of this nature to a sitting political leader is in and of itself a clear breach of FIFA’s duty of neutrality," FairSquare said in its complaint.Contributing: Francesca Chambers, Scooby Axson
