A 20-year-old woman has died after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing a road in Mississauga late Saturday night, Peel police say.
Officers were called to the area of Queensway and Hurontario Street, near Mississauga Hospital, just before 11:30 p.m. for reports of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.
Police say that the suspect fled eastbound on Eglinton Avenue from Erin Mills Parkway in their sedan.
