Celebrity Gogglebox sees Rylan Clark, Vernon Kay, Rob Beckett and Mo Gilligan on the hit Channel 4 showHayley Anderson Screen Time TV Reporter17:28, 19 Jul 2026Channel 4 confirms two Celebrity Traitors stars for goggleboxCelebrity Gogglebox won’t return next week with Channel 4 already confirming its “excellent” replacement.‌Celebrity Gogglebox is a household staple with episodes airing every Friday night and then repeated on Sundays, analysing TV shows that have got the nation talking.‌Season eight’s seventh and final episode was released on Friday, July 17, and is due to be repeated thise evening, Sunday, July 19, at 10pm, with its resident famous faces watching shows like The Piano, Emmerdale and Police Interceptors.‌This week's episode also features Scissor Sisters icon Jake Shears and Queens of the Stone Age star Josh Homme.Unfortunately, Celebrity Gogglebox won’t be back on Channel 4 next week but a star-studded alternative will instead play out in its usual repeated time slots on Sundays.Described as “absolutely brilliant”, the reality show’s replacement has been hailed as “Oscar worthy”.‌Crime thriller The Forgiven revolves around deeply troubled married couple Jo (played by Jessica Chastain) and David Henninger (Ralf Finnes) who travel to Morocco.“While they're driving to the party of a wealthy friend, David accidentally hits and kills a local teenager”, the synopsis divulges.‌“When the deceased's father turns up at the soirée asking for help, Jo and David are plunged into a bizarre and dark night of the soul.”Based on 2012 novel of the same name by author Lawrence Osborne, The Forgiven stars Jurassic World star Jessica Chastain and Harry Potter legend Ralph Fiennes. But they are far from the only onscreen icons in this 2021 release.‌They are joined by the likes of House of the Dragon’s Matt Smith, Wolf Man and Girls actor Christopher Abbott and Get Out star Caleb Landry Jones.“It has been a long time since I saw such good acting, beautiful scenery and hilarious conversations”, someone remarked on IMdB, after depicting it as “Oscar worthy”.Another described The Forgiven as a “beautiful movie”, adding: “Do yourself a favour.... watch it.”‌Someone else said: “You won't forget this film five minutes after you've seen it.
