DUBAI: Zendaya has once again turned a film’s press tour into a fashion event, with one standout look putting Arab design firmly in the spotlight. Ahead of the release of “The Odyssey,” the actor made an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” wearing a striking gold creation by Lebanese couturier Zuhair Murad.

The gold brocade ensemble featured a sculpted jacket with a plunging neckline, cinched waist and intricate embellishment. It was paired with a matching skirt, with both pieces hailing from the designer’s 2013 couture collection.

Working once again with long-time stylist Law Roach, Zendaya has echoed the Grecian themes of the film recently, with sculptural silhouettes, rich textures and couture detailing.

Highlights have included an ethereal Matieres Fecales ensemble from the fashion house’s debut couture collection that Zendaya wore to the New York premiere of the film. A long, strapless gown was complemented by a pair of feather wings in the show-stopping look.

On July 5, Zendaya wore a custom-made Jacquemus gown with a draped back and connected head covering. Her earrings from Barron London made international headlines as they were created with 1st-millennium B.C. discs.
