Villa would prefer a permanent move, which has been under consideration.Turkish outfit Trabzonspor have also expressed an interest in the Jamaican international, as well as La Liga club Celta Vigo. Yet remaining in England, where Bailey’s children are in school, is currently preferred, provided the clubs can reach an agreement.

Bailey is available to leave Villa, having returned from a six month loan spell at Italian club Roma in January.Following the expected sale of Morgan Rogers to Chelsea in a deal worth £117million, a record fee for a British player, Villa want to strengthen out-wide, with Bailey not in the immediate plans, along with Evann Guessand after Crystal Palace missed the deadline at the end of May to sign him permanently. The Athletic has previously reported that Villa aim to sign a winger who can run beyond opposition defences, with Bailey no longer regarded as a preferred option for head coach Unai Emery.Bailey joined Villa from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2021 for a fee in the region of £30m.He has made 163 appearances for the club, providing 23 goals and 25 assists. He featured 22 times in all competitions for Villa during the second half of last season, and was an unused substitute during the Europa League final victory over Freiburg.
