The City Boy Movement (CBM), a youth-focused political support group led by Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, is rapidly expanding into one of Nigeria’s most organised youth mobilisation platforms.
Built around President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the group recently held its maiden National Retreat in Abuja, where it formally inaugurated a National Working Committee and State Directors under an internal constitution, moving from a loose campaign group toward a permanent structure.
That structure now reaches all 36 states and the FCT, organised down to Zonal, Local Government and Ward levels. The goal behind this scale is bold: mobilise more than 10 million youth votes ahead of the 2027 elections.
To pull in young professionals and business-minded Nigerians, the movement has brought in high-profile figures, including entrepreneur Obi Cubana as South-east Regional Director and Cubana Chief Priest as Imo State Director, using their reach to draw younger, urban demographics into political participation.
On the ground, CBM runs free medical outreaches, food drives and campus visits, while its advocates work to explain government programmes like the Federal Student Loan Scheme and the Skill-Up Artisan Programme to communities that may not fully understand them.
