Poland does not plan to deploy troops to Ukraine as part of a possible stabilization mission but will remain one of the key members of the Coalition of the Willing by serving as its main logistics and operational hub.
Former Polish National Defense Minister Janusz Onyszkiewicz said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
According to him, the location of the Coalition of the Willing's future military exercises in Poland is of secondary importance compared with the fact that such drills are taking place.
"There are many places in Poland where these exercises can be held. The important thing is that they will take place. The Coalition of the Willing is working intensively and developing various operational concepts," Onyszkiewicz said.
He explained that the Coalition members are preparing for a possible scenario in which the active phase of the war in Ukraine comes to an end, creating the need for an international military presence to monitor compliance with any future agreements.
