The Springboks thrashed Wales 43-0 in their Nations Championship clash in front of nearly 50000 fans at Kings Park Stadium in Durban on Saturday, with debutant flyhalf Vusi Moyo and wing Jaco Williams enjoying memorable international bows on home soil as the bench drove home the advantage in the second half.
The opening exchanges were dominated by an aerial battle before the Springboks' loose forwards took control.
Lock Cobus Wiese sparked the breakthrough with a barnstorming carry through midfield, shrugging off defenders before offloading to his brother, Jasper Wiese, who crashed over from close range in the fifth minute. Moyo successfully added the conversion.
Veteran scrumhalf Cobus Reinach doubled the hosts' advantage in the 14th minute after the Boks once again overwhelmed the Welsh defence, with Moyo maintaining his perfect record from the tee.
