Hyderabad will host the Hyderabad Dental Convention (HDC) 2026 at the Hitex Exhibition Centre on July 25 and 26. Organised by the Indian Dental Association (IDA), the two-day convention is expected to attract more than 6,000 delegates, including dental professionals, academicians, researchers, students and industry representatives from across the country.The convention is expected to be inaugurated by Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha on July 25. A major highlight of the convention is that it will be dedicated to sports dentistry, an emerging field that is gaining importance globally. Scientific sessions will explore topics such as prevention and management of dental trauma among athletes, oral health assessments for sportspersons, custom mouthguards, emergency dental care protocols and the integration of oral healthcare into sports medicine.
