Camper makes the most comfortable sandals in the game. You can’t really go wrong with any of its on-sale offerings — of which there are over 600! — but we especially like the Oruga flats. Strategist senior editor Ailbhe Malone’s first pair of Orugas “lasted three summers of tough wear — from a wedding weekend in Toulouse to endless mind-numbingly long walks with a stroller and two weeks of traveling slowly east from Budapest to Northern Transylvania.” Malone’s now on her second pair: “Like Birkenstocks, they have a natural cork sole so they don’t smell sweaty, but unlike Tevas, the outsole is a kind of platform made from EVA,” she says. “The result is a supremely comfortable shoe that lasts a long time and leans heavily on the luxe end of sporty-luxe.”
