Police said the move was carried out following directions from the Delhi High Court and on medical advice due to the activist's deteriorating health condition.Meanwhile, Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday began an indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar following Wangchuk's removal to hospital. In posts on X, Dipke alleged that he had been detained and assaulted by Delhi Police and accused the force of cracking down on protesters. Delhi Police has not publicly responded to those specific allegations.Earlier in the day, Haryana Congress president Rao Narendra Singh also condemned Wangchuk's removal from the Jantar Mantar protest site, calling it a direct attack on democracy and the Constitution. He said every citizen has the right to protest peacefully and accused the government of suppressing dissent. Rao also reiterated the Congress' demand for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation over the alleged NEET irregularities, saying repeated paper leaks had eroded students' confidence in the examination system.
