The Federal Government has arraigned three men before the Federal High Court in Abuja over their alleged involvement in the abduction of pupils and teachers from schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The suspects, Abdulrazak Umar, Yunusa Musa and Shamsu Adamu Sani.
The defendants are facing 10 charges, including terrorism, kidnapping, incitement and illegal mining, while prosecutors also allege links to the proscribed terrorist group Ansaru through Darul Salam.
According to the prosecution, the defendants allegedly conspired with other suspects between January and May 2026 to kidnap schoolchildren and teachers. They are also accused of withholding information about the alleged masterminds behind the abduction.
