President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Oleksandr Poklad as acting head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU).

This is stated in Decree No. 622/2026 dated July 17, published on the Office of the President of Ukraine’s website.

“First Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Poklad is hereby appointed to temporarily perform the duties of the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine,” the document states.

As previously reported, Oleksandr Poklad previously served as First Deputy Head of the SSU.
