The presenter, 64, fronted her last edition of the programme on Friday.However, she announced her new venture before she went. The presenter has made secret of her hurt that the show, which aired at 2pm weekdays and had only been on air for a year, was getting the chop and emotions were high during the final broadcast.Vanessa told viewers: "I feel very, very sad this is the last show. To anybody who is sending me nice messages, I really appreciate it." She added: "I’m going to end up snivelling and sobbing. I’m OK at the moment, but I could go at any moment so bear with.”She bowed out with guests Danniella Westbrook, Cosmo Landesman and Lizzie Cundy and was surprised by daughter Saskia and grandson AJ, who entered the set and the end with bunches of flowers.Saskia told her mum: "We've come to surprise you.We knew today was going to be hard. We absolutely love you and couldn't be more proud of what you've done on this show."But before the show went off air forever, Vanessa got in a plug for her new show saying she was "not going to hide under a rock" and would be launching a new online series called At Home With Vanessa that will be filmed from her house.The show, which will air on YouTube like Holly Willoughby's new programme, is dubbed "a grown-up twist on The Big Breakfast" and will launch in August. She said: "I hope it's going to be really great fun."Speaking about her Channel 5 talk show's axe on LBC last month Vanessa said: "I was shocked to the core and very upset and I still am."Article continues belowShe said Channel 5's new owners Paramount, the owners of the movie studio of the same name, wanted to show films each afternoon in her 2pm slot saying: "I don't think I really came into the equation at all."However, low rating are thought to have been to blame.
