Olivia Dean and Sam Fender have made history after overtaking Bryan Adams to become the longest-running number one single of all time.
The duo's hit Rein Me In has now had 17 weeks at the top of the charts, and despite many World Cup anthems climbing up the rankings this week, they have hung on to the coveted number one in the Official Charts.
Sam and Olivia celebrated Rein Me In becoming the longest running British song at number one last Friday.
And it has now surpassed Bryan's iconic song (Everything I Do) I Do It For You which notched up 16 consecutive weeks at the Official Singles Chart summit consecutively back in 1991.
Rein Me In is now just one week away from equalling record holder Frankie Laine’s 1953 hit I Believe for the most weeks at number one ever, and two weeks away from potentially stealing the all-time title.
