Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti won the national championship in January with a roster comprised mostly of three-star prospects.A five-star in Indianapolis, just an hour north of Bloomington, took note. Now he wants in on the action, too.Wide receiver Monshun Sales, the nation’s No. 8 prospect and No. 2 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite, took the first step in making history Friday afternoon when he committed to Cignetti and Indiana over blue bloods Texas, Ohio State, LSU and Alabama. Sales, assuming he makes it official with IU in December, will become the program’s first five-star signee out of high school.He announced his decision live on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

He’s not going to sit there and tell you what you want to hear. … It just clicked instantly. I don’t want (a) guy that’s going to sit there and tell me what I want to hear and just give me bulls—. I want to work for everything.”Sales, who plays at Lawrence North High in Indianapolis, took official visits to all five of his finalists, and as recently as Tuesday, teased a picture of himself on a visit to Texas on his personal Instagram page. The Longhorns, whose class currently ranks No. 6, were hopeful Sales would join fellow five-star Easton Royal, the top receiver nationally, in Austin.
