The commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force has warned that Iranian attacks will persist until “peace returns to the southern coastline and the Strait of Hormuz.”
Majid Mousavi, in a post on his X account, described Iran’s strikes as “effective and targeted launches,” writing, “In our calculation system, soil is soil; from Tehran to the south, it is all integrated for Iran.”
Concurrently, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued statements on Friday, July 17, claiming that, in retaliation for US strikes, it had attacked American bases in Oman, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, and Syria. Echoing these declarations from military and security officials, state-appointed Friday Prayer leaders across Iran used their official pulpits to reinforce and endorse this aggressive stance.
In Tehran, Mohammad-Javad Haj-Aliakbari emphasised the Islamic Republic’s ideological doctrine regarding the “destruction of Israel,” stating, “Full vengeance has not yet been achieved, and the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque is part of this path.”
Asserting that the Strait of Hormuz would be managed under the direct supervision of the Islamic Republic, he added, “The regional and even global order is shifting. This is a path that will continue through the will of the Iranian nation, and the process that has begun will ultimately lead to the defeat of the projects of the US and its allies in the region.”
