US President Donald Trump used a televised White House address on Thursday to renew claims that foreign powers, voting technology and ineligible voters had placed American elections at risk. The documents released with his speech did not show that votes were changed or that any election result was overturned.
Trump spoke for about 25 minutes from the East Room as the White House published a collection of declassified intelligence records, memoranda and fact sheets.
He said the material exposed weaknesses in election systems and supported tighter voting rules before the November midterm elections.
