MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines has shipped its second batch of saba bananas to New Zealand, expanding the global reach of Philippine agricultural products, the Department of Agriculture (DA) said.
The shipment consists of a 40-foot refrigerated container carrying 1,400 boxes of export-quality fresh saba bananas from Davao City-based AVANTE Agri-Products Philippines Inc., the agency said.

The exporter “carefully packed and palletized the bananas to preserve their freshness during transit and comply with New Zealand’s stringent food safety and plant quarantine standards,” the DA said Friday.
