Self-enumeration for Census 2027 was flagged off by District Collector C. Dinesh Kumar in Krishnagiri on Friday (July 17). It is open for households on https://se.census.gov.in. Individuals may register their mobile phone number on the portal and answer the 33 questions towards the Census.Upon completion, an SE-ID will be sent to the mobile number, and this ID may be provided to the visiting enumerators. The exercise will continue till July 31.Launching the process by registering himself, Mr. Dinesh Kumar said it will be beneficial to people living in high-rises, senior citizens and wage earners. Moreover, with Krishnagiri having a large working population in industrial units, the district administration is also spreading awareness on the process at factories. Public may also seek help from e-Seva centres for self-enumeration.While self-enumeration closes on July 31, door-to-door visits by enumerators will commence on August 1 and continue till August 31.Further, it shall be the responsibility of the District Forest Officer and the Chief Population Census Enumeration officer to ensure that populations in the Reserved Forest Habitations participate in the enumeration.A 24 hour help desk for census self-enumeration is open at the Collectorate, along with a toll free number 1855 and a landline number 04343-234444.
