The police arrested a man, suspected to be behind the suspicious death of a woman, who was found murdered in Kariapatti in Virudhunagar district on Friday.Police said that Mayil (31) of Keezha Azhagiyanallur near Kariapatti was in a relationship with a man identified as Udayakumar (32) son of Palanichami of the same locality. It is said that they were known to each other for about eight years.Suddenly, it seems that Mayil was in touch with some other person, which was objected to by Udayakumar. A wordy altercation between the two led to physical assault and the man had murdered the woman.Under such circumstances, when the police questioned Udayakumar, he had reportedly confessed to having committed the crime.
