MAKKAH: Saudi artist Basher Al-Khamali has forged a name for himself in the world of mural art in the Kingdom, with his 1,000-square meter mural of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman adorning a wall in Tabuk.
It was one of his biggest projects which took him just six days to complete.
Speaking to Arab News about the works closest to his heart, Al-Khamali explained that all of his paintings hold great value for him. However, some of his most popular and in-demand works are of the crown prince, which “holds immense pride” for him.
The passionate artist reflected on his artistic journey, the most significant challenges he has faced, and his future ambitions, emphasizing that “a true artist never stops learning, no matter how accomplished they become.”
Al-Khamali recalled that his journey with drawing began in childhood, explaining that “his talent was a gift from God,” which he nurtured overtime before becoming a professional.
