Reliance Jio Platform’s net profit increased 9 per cent year-on-year to ₹7,764 crore in the quarter ended June, while revenue grew 12 per cent, driven by continued gains in subscriber market share, organic ARPU growth and scale up of digital services.Its EBITDA rose to ₹20,865 crore, registering a 15 per cent year-on-year increase, supported by strong double-digit revenue growth and a 150 basis points (bps) margin expansion. However, the growth was partially offset by higher finance costs and depreciation charge due to 5G asset capitalisation.Subscriber baseOn a year-on-year basis, the subscriber base grew 7.1 per cent, while ARPU rose 3.3 per cent to over ₹215.6 per subscriber per month. The total subscriber base stood at around 533.3 million, reflecting a sequential growth of 1.6 per cent. Monthly churn remained at 1.6 per cent, while net subscriber additions reached 8.9 million. On a sequential basis, net profit declined 2 per cent, while gross revenue increased 2.2 per cent.Akash M Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm, said: “Jio has established itself as a deep tech company and demonstrated the velocity of innovation across multiple advanced technologies. Per capita data consumption stood at 42.7 GB per month. Voice traffic remained flat, while Jio’s True5G subscribers base expanded to 285 million. JioAirFiber reported 14 million subscribers.Mukesh D Ambani, RIL Chairman and Managing Director, said: “During the quarter, Jio Platforms filed its DRHP with SEBI, a significant step towards its public listing.
