July 17 (UPI) -- A cyberattack has prompted Fairlife to pause U.S. production on its milk products on Thursday, citing unauthorized third-party access to its systems.
Parent company the Coca-Cola Company announced the temporary stoppage, saying it is connected to a ransomware attack. The attack affected some of Fairlife's systems including systems related to production.
Coca-Cola notes that the quality and safety of Fairlife products have not been impacted. Fairlife's Canadian production operations are also unaffected.
"The company is working diligently to complete the investigation and restore the systems and impacted operations," Coca-Cola said in a press release. "The full scope, nature and impacts of the incident are not yet known."
