The Liverpool forward left Anfield at the end of last season, a year before his contract was due to expire.‌Since then, the 34-year-old has helped Egypt to the World Cup last 16. Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa has now given an update and suggested that news of his next club could come sooner rather than later.‌Taking to X, he said: "We still do not know where Mohamed will play next season but we may know very soon [smiling face emoji]."‌Salah spoke out on his future before this summer’s World Cup and vowed that there would be more information on his next club once the tournament came to an end. Speaking last month, he said: “I am still assessing things. I have time now. I am going to the World Cup and then everything will become clear."Salah has been linked with a host of clubs since confirming he would be leaving Liverpool. Saudi Arabia has once again been touted as a potential destination, while a move to Major League Soccer has not been ruled out.Sporting Kansas City have emerged as potential frontrunners, albeit the club's president of soccer operations, David Lee, remained tight-lipped over a potential deal.‌Lee said: "I'm not going to share anything on individual players, whether those players are under contract or not. I'm not going to get into the habit of talking about individual players."We are interested in really good players. So anyone we think can be a fit for us and is going to fit what we would like to do, we have an interest in and would like to have a conversation with."‌Salah has also recently been linked with Turkish side Besiktas, with reports in the country claiming that they have already tabled an offer for his services. That comes just days after Besiktas also sealed a deal for former Arsenal star Leandro Trossard, who left the Emirates for around £15m.When it comes to Liverpool, they have already been busy in the market, having sealed deals for Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz, albeit they have yet to fully replace Salah.
