As the 2027 Census process have commenced in Tamil Nadu on Friday (July 17, 2026), Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay have appealed to the people in the State to participate in self-enumeration exercise.In a statement, Mr. Arlekar requested the public to register themselves in the self-enumeration phase, which will be conducted in the first stage of the two-phase population Census in Tamil Nadu.
