Following a meeting with Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the critical priority of the new government would be preparation for the heating season. The Prime Minister reported that Sergii Fedorenko will lead Naftogaz.

The head of state said this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"A meeting with Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi. The new Government has already held its first meeting, and today we discussed the steps to be taken in the near future, as well as our work with Ukraine's partners to implement the agreements reached on supporting Ukraine. The Prime Minister has begun preparing the Government's program, which will be presented to the public and to MPs," Zelensky said.

According to him, the approach to governance will be as pragmatic as possible: personal responsibility of each minister and all heads of central executive bodies for implementing the tasks identified as priorities. The President stressed that the new Prime Minister has full opportunity to form such a government policy and such a team of central executive authorities that will be able to strengthen our state with additional force.
