The Rivers State Police Command has charged schools, parents, community and religious leaders to join the fight against drugs abuse, cultism and other social vices in the state.
Adepoju urges them to properly counsel children, watch the company they keep in order to shape their pathway in life.
The State Commissioner of Olugbenga Adepoju, gave the charge at the state-wide relaunch of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices in Port Harcourt on Thursday.
Adepoju said policing is a collective initiative that requires the inputs of all stakeholders to achieve set goals.
He noted that cultism has become a dangerous path that deceives young people with false promises of protection, friendship, wealth, or influence, whereas in reality, it leads to fear, violence, regret, and often death.
