The Duke of Sussex made a surprise appearance at TIME ‘s 100 Most Influential People in Sports event on the East Coast of America on Thursday, after he was praised by the magazine for his creation of the Invictus Games.‌At the event, Harry was quizzed about the World Cup, and was asked if he was sad at England’s result in the competition after getting beaten in the semi-finals by Argentina, to which he candidly replied: “Of course!”‌‌His estranged brother Prince William also commented on England’s defeat, sharing a statement to social media saying he is “gutted” over the result, but praised the incredible efforts of the Three Lions throughout the competition.William paid tribute to the squad posting on X: "Gutted.
