The new Channel 4 reality show has been compared to Secret Lives of Mormon Wives11:12, 17 Jul 2026A Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives star has set the record straight.‌Social media star Trewley-Precious Wass is letting the cameras into her family life in the new Channel 4 series.‌The programme follows the 26-year-old as she pursues her ambition of becoming a social media sensation while juggling the demands of her traditional Traveller family.‌The series has been compared to popular reality show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, with the pair having similar names.Appearing on Friday’s (July 17) episode of Good Morning Britain, the influencer shut down similarities as she insisted that her new show is “so different".‌Speaking to hosts Kate Garraway and Ranvir Singh, she said: “I love that show but I do feel that this is so different.”She explained: “You’ve got this group of women trying to navigate but ours is siblings, with mixed cultures and we’re trying to navigate without the captain of the ship.“It’s a big deal, like little things that wouldn’t be a big deal to you, would be.”‌Unlike many Traveller families, Trewley and her sister Ruby Ann, Honey, Peaches and Pearly Girl were raised on a council estate in Essex rather than residing in a caravan.Trewley’s late father, Sidney "Siddy Boy" Temple, who passed away in November 2024 was a traveller. He was a traditional, prideful Romany Traveller and Trewley credits him with giving her a proud and rich cultural heritage.Meanwhile her mum is a non-travellier and the TikTok star admitted that there was a "culture clash” growing up.‌She explained: “When I was growing up, I had a bit of a culture clash, that was very hard. Where I wasn’t full, I wasn’t accepted that way, where I was half, I wasn’t accepted this way so I had to make my own path”It comes as in the trailer for the new reality show, Trewley says: "We're like the Kardashians. Like the Kardashians if they were broke."Article continues belowSpeaking in a recent TikTok video about the new series, Trewley, who has 942,000 followers said "I know nobody I know, everyone was anticipating me to launch my own TV show."I'll be honest with you, I didn't think when I walked into the Channel 4 room that I was going to get it. But quite frankly I did get it and we have worked extremely hard on it."Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1 and ITVX and The Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives starts at 10pm on Channel 4 on Monday (July 20).
