Following an overnight attack on Odesa and other cities and regions of the country, President Volodymyr Zelensky called on partners to speed up the delivery of defense aid packages.

According to Ukrinform, the president announced this on Facebook.

“It is important that every state institution and everyone involved in negotiations with partners on supporting Ukraine’s defense and resilience act with maximum speed and effectiveness. The implementation of everything agreed at the leaders’ level must be accelerated. Every defense package today is not just a number, but specific equipment that protects lives here in Ukraine every day,” Zelensky stated.

The president noted that in Odesa, two people were killed and five others were injured, including three children, as a result of Russia’s overnight missile strike on a residential building. He stated that all those affected are receiving the necessary medical care and expressed his condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims.

The president also emphasized that the Russians had launched fifteen guided air missiles at the Sumy region. “One person was injured in Sumy, and residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, including a library, were damaged,” he said.
