Turn the phone off, unplug it, remove the case and examine the mark at an angle under a bright light. Wipe the screen gently with a clean, dry microfibre cloth. If the mark remains, dampen one corner of the cloth with a tiny amount of distilled water — never spray liquid on the phone — wipe once more, then dry it with another clean part of the cloth.If the spot disappears, it was surface contamination. If it is visible beneath a screen protector, replace the protector; do not peel the factory film from a foldable phone yourself. If the spot appears to glow only when the screen is on, stays in precisely the same physical place through every app and screen orientation, or is easiest to see on a plain white or grey background, it is probably a display defect.
