Set in Stockport, it follows Gemma (Aimee), who is coming to terms with being a mum.‌Although with the support of her hapless dad, Malcolm (David), things never go straightforward. However, as she tries to keep her dad's best friend Derek (David Flynn) at arm's length, she can rely on the support from the other people in her life, such as best friend Cherry (Taj Atwal), boss Rita (Sarah Hadland) and sister Catherine.‌A synopsis of the final series reads: "The new series sees Gemma 18 months on from where we left her in series two, and life has settled into a familiar rhythm. Her baby, Sadie, is now in nursery, Gemma's been promoted at the salon, and Malcolm has just ordered a fancy new washing machine to optimise the laundry."Things might finally be on an even keel for the Moscrips - so maybe there's space for Gemma to finally find love?
