Newly appointed Traditional Prime Minister of the Zulu Nation, Inkosi Phathisizwe Chiliza, has called for government branding to be removed from cultural events on the Zulu Kingdom's calendar, saying the move is necessary to protect the integrity of king Misuzulu kaZwelithini and the Crown.
Speaking in an interview on Thursday, Chiliza thanked King Misuzulu for entrusting him with the position and pledged to carry out his responsibilities with the respect and dignity the office demands.
Outlining his vision, Chiliza said one of his key priorities would be ensuring that the integrity of the King and the Crown is protected from political influence and misuse.
He said advising and safeguarding the monarch and the institution of the monarchy formed the core responsibility of the Traditional Prime Minister, working alongside his council and the House of Traditional Leaders.
